Elias David
Moncado

“The pronunciation of his name stands for that, what he is: A gift.”

Anne-Sophie Mutter

“…having often been the star of concerts among much older contemporaries.”

The Star Malaysia

“The difference of class, skill, this flash, this gift from God or nature – is striking both in the ears and in the eyes, because it can also be seen.  Here comes a young, 18-year-old violinist who, like a sleeve, without the slightest shadow of effort, throws out the shiny cascades of the most difficult sounds.  In addition, he plays with such a beautiful tone, so charming, and with all this I see in his attitude a wonderful, rare modesty.“

Offenburger Tageblatt, KULTUR

“Achern als Zwischenstation einer Weltkarriere?

Mittelbadische Presse

“Moncado is a warmly communicative and sympathetic player, and there was much to enjoy in his truth-seeking and heart-on-sleeve account.”

The Strad

“Moncado’s stratospheric high passages were immaculate, and the more lyric ones had great beauty. In short, he showed himself to be a mature artist of exceptional talent.”

Cleveland Classical

Badisches Tagblatt

“Though still in his teens, Elias David Moncado gave a highly original performance. His Mozart was excellent. He had perfect mastery of the now mainstream hybrid between period and modern styles as if it were a natural part of himself, and was capable of giving double stops in admiringly true pitches, punctuated by crisp vibratos.”

Yuji Numano, Music Critic

„an excellent performance that was full of vigor and good concentration.“

MANABU MATSUMOTO, MUSIC CRITIC
