Elias was awarded the 5th prize (1st prize was not awarded) as the youngest prize winner at the 7th International Sendai violin competition in Japan.

Elias has been awarded the loan of one of the finest violins of the foundation at the competition of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, Hamburg: a violin by Giambattista Rogeri, Brescia (around 1700).
